Buccellati Diamond Cut

To celebrate the centenary of the House, founded in 1919, we are thrilled to announce the new Buccellati-cut diamond. The Buccellati-cut diamond was born after a long study and research in collaboration with Taché Diamonds, an industry leader founded in 1957, which has developed a reputation for meticulous quality control and reliability of supply. The first sample of the Buccellati-cut diamond took almost a year to be finalized, based on an extensive study of light optimization to achieve maximum brilliance and lustre. As a result, the Buccellati-cut diamond and its facets boast a unique light and beauty of the highest standard.

Necklace formed by triangular elements in tulle and honeycomb handwork, with garland edges in white gold and diamonds, divided by rhomboidal elements in white gold and diamonds. A leaf-shaped white gold mechanism joins the necklace to a broche with a lace-worked white gold central part in which a Buccellati-cut diamond is set, surrounded by teardrop and shuttle bezels with diamonds.

The shape of the Buccellati-cut diamond consists of 57 facets, in which every facet is mirrored and every angle must respect a very strict percentage ratio to optimize the light. The GIA has recognized its beauty, comparing it to a flower, and has certificated it according to the globally accepted standards to describe diamonds.
The 4Cs of a Buccellati-cut diamond will range as follows:
Carat weight: from 0.50 up to 2.39 carats
Colour grade: from D to G
Clarity grade: from VS2 to VVS1

“Mabelle” because it is the variant of an English name that acquires the meaning of “beauty” in French. “Mabelle” because this ring merges the lines of the House’s logo with the richness of the engraving and the openwork, to bring to extreme light the colours of gold and the brilliance of the stones: a central Buccellati cut diamond weighing 3.06 carats, 100 round diamonds weighing 0.84 carats and 8 fancy diamonds weighing 0.15 carats. The “rigato” engravings on the stem and the bezels, and all the “modellato” engravings on the yellow gold sections are lifeblood for the life to refract; the openwork is precise and functional to the lightness of all the elements composing the mounting.

The Buccellati-cut diamond is well proportioned and romantic, elegant and sparkling. The perfect diamond for some stunning new creations, including the Aura, Chandra, Evanthe, Elsa and Arcade Eternelle rings, the impressive Cnosso pendant with matching earrings, the Sterlizia cuff bracelet, the Mabelle ring, the Ventaglio three-piece set and the Vega pendant earrings.

These earrings are very bright, just like Vega, the fifth star among the most luminous of the sky, which has a slightly oblong shape. Their brightness derives from the radial tulle workmanship: the yellow gold rays originate right from the centre, where the Buccellati-cut diamonds are set (1.75 carats). The central diamond is contoured by a white gold decoration set with diamonds, which is reproduced on the borders as well.
