THE PRINCE OF GOLDSMITHS

SHANGHAI 2025

In the vibrant heart of Shanghai's luxury scene, from December 7, 2025, to January 5, 2026, the Shanghai Exhibition Center proudly presents "The Prince of Goldsmiths: Buccellati Rediscovering the Classics". This immersive exhibition delves into the Maison's artistic and artisanal soul, echoing Gabriele d'Annunzio's 1936 homage to Mario Buccellati, whom he crowned "The Prince of Goldsmiths" for his unparalleled ability to transform precious metals into timeless art. Following its triumphant 2024 Venetian debut, this new chapter expands the Maison's rich historical and creative narrative. Four bespoke halls display 250 exquisite creations – 150 jewels and 100 silver objects – each a silent storyteller.

"After a decade since our arrival in China's Mainland, we return to Shanghai with immense joy, presenting an exhibition that unveils the heart and soul of Buccellati. We believe that the Chinese market, with its deep appreciation for beauty and history, will resonate with the timeless art that defines our Maison," states the Buccellati Family. Nicolas Luchsinger, CEO of the Maison, celebrates the arrival in Shanghai of the second edition of 'The Prince of Goldsmiths'. China, a key market with its inexhaustible passion for craftsmanship, is a vital source of inspiration for the Maison, and this event marks its natural and prestigious continuation.

The exhibition arrives in Shanghai, with Alba Cappellieri curating the selection of jewels and silver, and Balich Wonder Studio providing the creative concept and executive production. The installation, a blend of classical elements – columns, harmonious symmetries – and multimedia, unveils the genesis of Buccellati masterpieces and the refinement of techniques passed down through four generations, reinterpreting the classic with a contemporary perspective.
