HISTORIC COLLECTION
CORINZIO RING
The piece occupies a key role within the Buccellati historical collection, making one of Mario Buccellati’s initial forays into cocktail rings. This cocktail ring typically features a sizeable, flamboyantly-coloured stone, along with elaborate engraving and openwork on the shank and mount.
The central, 20-carat, emerald-cut citrine is mounted upon an engraved white gold frame, featuring alternating tiny bright yellow gold balls, eight rubies (1.50 ct.) and 16 sapphires (0.15 ct.). The intricate corner-leaf engraving adorning the small prongs on the central bezel comes from the utmost attention to detail. In addition, the classic shank in white gold bears a lateral palmette decoration, while supporting, much like a Corinthian capitolio, a white gold gallery with fine ornato engraving.
