GALATEO

A Journey into Conviviality

MIAMI ART BASEL 2022

On November 29th, Buccellati debuted at Miami Art Basel with the installation “Galateo. A Journey into Conviviality”, first introduced during the last Salone del Mobile in Milan in June 2022.

The event continued the Maison's collaboration with Stefano Boeri Interiors Studio, which created a complex structure of reflecting walls in an immersive environment, where the visitors could enter an almost intimate relationship with the splendid unique silver creations on display.

The reflecting walls gave the chance to admire Buccellati historic silver collections in all their details and angles. Star of the evening was the new porcelain “Double Rouche – Florence Furnace” collection, born from the collaboration between Buccellati and Ginori 1735.

Some vignettes of Buccellati silver pieces were complemented by digital representations of the imaginative installations that leading figures on the international design scene crafted for Salone del Mobile. Guests were invited to see how renowned designers, including Dimorestudio, Ashley Hicks, Chahan Minassian and Patricia Urquiola, reimagined “the table” by using Buccellati silver creations.
The Buccellati Family, including Andrea Buccellati, Maria Cristina Buccellati and Lucrezia Buccellati, were joined by clients and friends of the Maison for the celebration of this debut, during a gran gala dinner.
