Description

The rigato effect, obtained by handmade engraving, reaches its peak of virtuosity in the Macri Collection. The surface is wavy and embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds set in tiny star-shaped rosettes. Small and shiny gold beads play with the opaque texture and the light of the diamonds.

Inspired by the femininity and sophisticated elegance of daughter Maria Cristina, Gianmaria Buccellati conceived a collection that was synonymous with excellence, quality and unparalleled beauty.
His aim was to create a piece of jewelry boasting all the iconic features of the Maison’s goldsmithing tradition, with a particular focus on engraving techniques. At a later date, Andrea Buccellati expanded the collection by introducing new decorative motifs, such as the AB and Giglio emblems, both embellished with diamonds.

Delicate craftsmanship distinguished by a silky sheen that recalls the warp and weft of precious fabrics. Created using a burin, a tool already employed in the Renaissance period, the Rigato effect is a finish unique to the Macri collection, one of the iconic lines of the Maison.
