"VIA COL VENTO" NECKLACE

A plunge into the Victorian era and the dresses that were the highest expression of nineteenth-century femininity, this necklace recalls their flounces and frills, especially those symbolical of the '60s and '70s. Just think of the shapes of the dresses worn by Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind": huge skirts, puffy, exaggerated and super-decorated. The 8 bows in yellow gold and 474 diamonds (3.40 carats) of this necklace create volume in the lozenges formed by the 5 strands of 423 sapphires (200.63 carats) and take us back to the lace, lace, embroidery and ribbons of that stylistic triumph that was women's fashion from 1840 onwards.
