BACCO CIGARETTE CASE

Buccellati’s style is characterized by the intricate engravings that adorn every creation, not only on jewellery, but also when it comes to silver objects.

Whether they are boxes, cigarette cases or frames, every surface is delicately embellished with a texture reminiscent of the Renaissance period’s most striking creations. This cigarette case from the 1930s is embellished with a motif of vine shoots and bunches of grapes pursuing one another. The result is a chiaroscuro effect similar to the crown of Bacchus in Caravaggio’s work of the same name.
On the inside, a multitude of tiny stars adorn and illuminate the shiny silver background.
