 “MONTENEVOSO” BRACELET

Gabriele D’Annunzio, the famous writer, poet, playwright, war hero and man of the world, was Mario Buccellati’s most important customer in the 1920s and 1930s.

The master poet was hugely impressed by the jeweler’s exquisite creations, to the extent that D’Annunzio appointed Buccellati official goldsmith of his estate, the Vittoriale, as well as giving him the nickname “Mastro Paragon Coppella”.
In 1924, D’Annunzio was awarded the title of Prince of Montenevoso, whose heraldic colors, blue and red, assumed centre stage on rings and jewellery such as this beautiful hard silver bracelet lined in yellow gold, engraved with vines and bunches of grapes, made with 154 cabochon rubies (3.00 ct.) and 13 leaf-shaped sapphires (2,60 ct.).
