Honolulu & Hawaii
Highly modern for its time, this piece was introduced
by Mario Buccellati in the 1930s. A cascade of tiny golden hoops
with knurled surfaces creates an interplay of light and movement.
The 0.6-mm hoops are painstakingly hand soldered one by one
into a fine, mobile mesh that evoke a Hawaiian lei. As you move it
you hear the gentle and enchanting tinkling of gold.
